The Antithesis is a student journal dedicated to honest and original political study and philosophical enquiry. By publishing it on the web, we hope to achieve two specific goals. First, we intend that it should serve as an outlet for original ideas. Various opinions and perspectives find voice here, but they are united in their honesty and in their striving for truth, justice, freedom, and peace. Secondly, we are pursuing the development of a coherent way of understanding the world based upon the principles of the Hegelian dialectic. Our website is accumulating a database of academic writings, all of which have been contributed by their authors to The Antithesis.

In the most general terms, The Antithesis is dedicated to the advancement of history and to the improvement of man's lot in the world. More particularly, though, editors and contributors have a variety of interests in high politics, enlightenment and post-enlightenment philosophy, monotheistic religions, and issues of social health and prosperity. As we have noted, however, The Antithesis represents an effort to unite all of these areas through the construction of a dialectical world view.

All are invited to read the materials presented here and to communicate with the editors and contributors. Questions, comments, rants, praise, and diatribes are all welcome, but thoughtful arguments relevant to our work are most welcome of all. Anyone wishing to contribute his writing to the site should contact the editor.
